How can I use WOWBugs in teaching?

Cartoon: Bug at desk with microscope, books,  WOWBugs Kit, WOWBugs Bulletin, etc.The National Science Foundation has generously supported several years of instructional materials development for WOWBugs, under the direction of two University of Georgia faculty members -- Dr. Robert W. Matthews in the Department of Entomology and Dr. Thomas Koballa in the Department of Science Education.


Published materials include:

WOWBug bullet A 320-page activity and resource book, WOWBugs: New Life for Life Science
WOWBug bullet Three "Working with WOWBugs" videotapes
WOWBug bullet A Kodachrome slide set featuring the ecology of mud dauber wasps, the most common WOWBug host and the best source of WOWBugs collected naturally in the wild. It comes with the booklet, "What's Inside a Mud Dauber's Nest?", also available separately.
WOWBug bullet An on-going quarterly WOWBugs Bulletin with the newest research, teaching ideas, and additional classroom activities.
